A.H.M’s, Anjuman Arts, Science & Commerce College being a first Institution of Higher Learning in Bhatkal Taluka established in the year 1968 as a minority institution has its distinctive approach in catering the educational requirements and aspirations of the people in and around Bhatkal irrespective of caste, community and religion. College is regularly organizing seminars, guest lectures and other programmes on communal harmony and cultural diversity. Special lectures are organized annually on National unity day and constitution day to create awareness about the importance of national unity and communal harmony.

Students have ample opportunity to learn languages like Hindi, Urdu and Arabic other than English and Kannada. Our language departments have the habit of organizing multilingual seminars including all languages. The College always encourages the students to organize and participate in different programs organized by the college, inter-college, university and other Government or non-government organization to make them sensitize towards cultural, regional, linguistic, communal and socio-economic diversities. The faculty members enrich students with their knowledge regarding tolerance and harmony towards cultural, regional, linguistic, socioeconomic and other diversities. NSS unit organize programmes with regard to the role of youth in national unity, tolerance, communal harmony, etc.
